Your soul came into your body to express itself in truth.
And truth is where freedom lives.
This retreat is a weekend long immersion into your body. An invitation to be in connection with you and others doing the same. Find yourself at a serene sanctuary in Kent — a country house where you’ll be grounded by the land it’s built on, the ancient trees that surround it, the water ponds that rest in it’s garden, the birds that live within and fly around it, and the peaceful sounds these all co-create.
Journey through the landscapes of your body through somatic movement, embodied yoga and sound. Allow your soul to express further through practices like drawing, painting, and meeting nature. Nourish with sauna sessions, swims in the natural pool, fire in the forest, and plenty of beautiful soul food made with local produce.
The shala where you’ll do your movement practices:
Why Somatics?
As humans, we naturally are somatic. What this means, is that our bodies hold the immense capability of sensing themselves exactly as they are. We sense the body, because we are the body — it is not merely something that we have. When the body expresses itself in truth, it serves as a clear vessel for the soul to run through. This is how we liberate ourselves: by sensing, feeling, and being.
At Soul Meets Body, you’ll remember how to do this by exploring movement through the lens of Non-dual Tantra and Body-Mind Centering. You do not need to know anything about either of these in order to do the practices and reap the magic they offer. Although, here, your body will undoubtedly reveal the wisdom of each of these modalities simply by experiencing itself, because it already holds the ability to grasp these teachings exactly as it is.
